* ++“Today, you’ll be with Me in paradise.” — Said to a repentant dying thief.

* ++“Woman, behold your son…Behold your mother” — Met the needs of His family from the pain of the cross.

* ++“My god, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" — He felt the full force of God’s abandoning wrath as He bore the sin of the world.

* ++“I thirst”— Exposing the reality of His humanity

* ++“It is finished.” — Their debt is PAID IN FULL.

* ++“Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.” — He took His the final breath.

Jesus wasn’t a victim. He was a volunteer.

He didn’t die because He was overpowered.  

He died because love compelled Him to do so.  

He died for you. for me. for every sinner in every century.
